About the Role
Minda embraces the Active Support model to empower people with disability through meaningful engagement, choice, and inclusion in daily life. Our Support Leaders play a critical frontline practice leadership role-coaching teams to deliver person-centred support and continuously improve everyday practice.
Our Mount Gambier-based services deliver Home and Living, In-Home, and Mentoring supports to adults and young people across the Limestone Coast region. This is a unique opportunity to broaden your skill set and gain hands-on experience across diverse service areas, supporting clients of varying ages. You'll be part of a collaborative team that champions person-centred practice and empowers people with disability to live with choice, dignity, and inclusion.
What You'll Achieve
* Lead and coach Disability Support Workers to deliver person-centred, values-driven support that promotes choice, independence, and meaningful engagement.
* Role-model best practice and provide hands-on guidance to embed Active Support across daily service delivery.
* Foster a culture of continuous improvement through performance feedback, mentoring, and professional development.
* Ensure services align with NDIS plans, safeguarding principles, and Minda's policies and frameworks.
* Promote client voice and participation, responding to feedback and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
* Support operational excellence by maintaining compliance, coordinating training, and contributing to recruitment and onboarding.
What you'll bring
* Demonstrated experience in community or health sectors supporting people with intellectual disability, with a strong commitment to person-centred practice.
* Proven ability to apply therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches that promote choice, dignity, and meaningful engagement.
* Skilled in mentoring, coaching, and role-modelling best practice to frontline staff, while confidently coordinating day-to-day operations.
* Sound understanding of NDIS service standards, safeguarding principles, and relevant legislation.
* Strong coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to delegate effectively and support team performance.
* High levels of resilience and creativity in navigating complex support scenarios and driving continuous improvement.
Other Requirements
* Certificate III Individual Supports or higher equivalent qualification.
* National NDIS Worker Screening.
* Working with Children's check.
* Current, valid and unrestricted SA Driver's License.
* Able to assist with On-Call requirements to provide critical services.
