HDR's Architecture Business Group is inviting expressions of interest from experienced architecture professionals with proven Defence and Federal Government experience to join our studios in Melbourne and Sydney.
With expanding demand across major Defence Infrastructure programs, we are looking for technically strong, detail-oriented professionals who understand the rigor, governance and compliance requirements of Federal projects. You will bring demonstrated experience delivering complex, secure infrastructure environments and be confident independently producing, coordinating or reviewing detailed, high-quality construction documentation packages, to create environments that support Defence personnel, their capabilities and deliver long term value for Defence and the communities they serve.
We welcome interest from practitioners across a range of seniority levels who have contributed to Defence projects in capacities such as architect, package coordination, technical documentation delivery, and project leadership.

About You
* You hold Australian Citizenship (with Baseline or higher Australian Government Security Clearance, or be eligible to obtain) - required. To check your eligibility, please visit the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.
* Relevant tertiary education in Architecture or related field.
* Proven experience delivering projects for Defence across all project phases.
* Strong understanding of government project governance frameworks, consultant coordination, reporting structures and stakeholder engagement protocols.
* High proficiency in key software including Revit, Rhino, Microsoft and Adobe suite of programs.
* Excellent communication skills both internal (team collaboration) and external (consultants, supplies).
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate complex designs and manage multiple workstreams.
* A proactive, agile working style – open to contributing to various sectors and workstreams as required.

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
* Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and process
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‐owned culture is a must
