About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our growing group of early childhood education centres across regional New South Wales and Victoria.
This is a genuine, ongoing full-time role responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for children in accordance with childcare nutrition guidelines, food safety standards, and centre policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare daily meals and snacks for children aged 0–5 years
* Plan menus aligned with Australian Dietary Guidelines and early childhood nutrition standards
* Cater for allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements
* Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment
* Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards and local council regulations
* Manage food ordering, storage, stock rotation, and waste control
* Work collaboratively with educators and centre management teams
Requirements
* Full-time availability
* Willingness to work at one of our regional centres (Dubbo, Albury, or regional Victoria)
* Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Skills and Experience Required
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef
* Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management
* Ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Experience in childcare, education, healthcare, or similar settings highly regarded
