About the Role
The Warehouse Operator will report to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely handling of stock movements of bulk fertiliser inwards and outwards to support Natrio's operations. The role is based on standard weekday hours, with rostered hours generally commencing at 7:00am and finishing at 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. This position involves operating company machinery and equipment, performing manual handling tasks, and ensuring compliance with all legislative and company safety standards. A key part is ensuring the smooth flow of product from vessel discharge through to receival, storage, and customer dispatch, while maintaining strong safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
In addition to core operational duties, you will assist with vessel unloading activities as required and maintain a high standard of service to internal and external stakeholders. Flexibility is essential, as shifts may include rostered work, occasional shift coverage, weekend work and additional hours based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
* Operate front-end loader to fill hoppers and undertake push-up operations.
* Perform forklift operations.
* Support shipping operations, including blow-down activities, loader operation, and supervision where required.
* Perform stock reporting, stock counts, and communicate variances to manager.
* Use basic computer systems for records, weighbridge entries, and operational data capture.
Safety & Compliance
* Perform daily pre-start checks and safety inspections on all machinery and equipment.
* Participate actively in maintaining a strong safety culture.
* Support and conduct near miss and hazard reporting.
* Undertake all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following site procedures and WHS requirements.
* Work effectively in a team environment and follow direction under routine supervision.
Housekeeping & Site Standards
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring the warehouse and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.
* Wash/blowdown vehicles and equipment as required.
* Maintain site and equipment to the standards required by the business.
Maintenance
* Conduct basic vehicle and equipment maintenance, including greasing, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
* Report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
Required Attributes

* Positive and proactive approach with a "can do" attitude.
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Experience in warehouse, logistics, or bulk material handling operations.
* Competency operating mobile plant (e.g., front-end loader, forklift).
* Current forklift licence.
* Strong safety mindset and understanding of safe work practices.
* Ability to follow procedures, complete documentation, and communicate effectively.
* Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
Desirable
* Experience in fertiliser, grain, bulk commodities, or agricultural operations.
* Loader operating ticket or equivalent experience.
* Experience with weighbridge systems or shipping operations.
* Basic mechanical aptitude
