Primary objective
Provide project and contract administration advice and services to Project Managers and client agencies to support the
delivery of Government's Civil and Infrastructure programs.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice and support to Regional Director, Project Managers and Consultants to ensure that projects and
contracts are compliant with business processes and accountabilities.
1. Provide all data recording, documentation and record keeping related to assigned Capital Works, Minor New Works,
Repairs and Maintenance, Recoverable Works and Consultancy Projects, across Infrastructure, Civil and Housing
business units
1. Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts to ensure that cash flow and expenditure
targets are met.
1. Provide support, monitoring and training to other Project Administration staff.
2. Establish an excellent working relationship with clients and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, on all
matters relating to project administration.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Ability to provide project and contract administration advice to Project Managers and client agencies on assigned Minor
New Works, Repairs, Maintenance and Capital Works, Recoverable Works and Consultancy Projects.
2. Sound oral communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures, standards and systems in a manner suited to
the needs of technical and professional staff as well as client agencies, and to gain timely cooperation.
1. Good written skills with the ability to prepare accurate memoranda as well as comprehensive and succinct file notes.
2. Sound knowledge of Mainframe and PC based project administration and financial management and reporting systems
as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Office related software.
1. High level skills in maintaining data integrity with thoroughness, attention to detail and accuracy.
2. knowledge of project and contract administration procedures and systems and the ability to understand relevant
legislation and guidelines.
7. An ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
8. Ability to work in a busy autonomous environment and utilise well-refined time management skills.
