Disability Support Worker (Day & Overnight Supports)

About the RoleWe are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to provide quality care to a male participant living with Cerebral Palsy. This role involves both day and overnight supports and requires someone who is committed, professional, and passionate about supporting people with disability to live safely and independently in their own home.

We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of disability support experience.

Your Responsibilities

* Assisting with personal care (including showering, toileting, dressing, grooming)
* Manual handling and hoisting (experience preferred; training can be provided for the right candidate)
* Assisting with mobility and transfers
* Domestic assistance, including cleaning and maintaining a safe home environment
* Meal preparation and cooking
* Providing overnight support as required
* Participating in the on-call when required
* Supporting community participation where appropriate
* Following all organisational policies, procedures, and care plans

About You

* To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Previous experience in disability support (preferred but not essential)
* Confidence or willingness to learn hoisting and manual handling techniques
* A strong understanding of person-centred practice
* Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Professionalism and respect when supporting people with disability
* Commitment to following policies, procedures, and reporting requirements
* Cert III in Individual support or experience in Support Work
* Reliable, compassionate, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disability

What You'll Need Before Starting

* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
* Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply).
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
* Completion (or willingness to complete) NDIS orientation modules.
* Willingness to undertake Bowel Care and Person-Centred training.
* Experience with behaviour management.

Pay Rate: 39.11 per hour (Casual)
