Position: Service Desk Assistant at Akkodis. This contract role is based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. What we need from you / What our client requires
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Service Desk or IT support environment
- Experience with logging incidents, and escalating issues appropriately
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance

As part of the ICT team, you\'ll provide first-level technical support, assist with account setups, and help users with hardware and software issues. You\'ll receive comprehensive training and be part of a collaborative team that values service excellence, continuous learning, and teamwork.
Key Requirements
- Respond to ICT support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems
- Troubleshoot basic issues such as password resets, account access, and device configuration
- Log and track incidents using the ICT service management system
- Follow standard procedures and checklists to resolve issues or escalate where necessary
- Communicate clearly with users, explaining technical concepts in simple terms
- Participate in training and team activities to build technical and professional skills
