Research Associate
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team in the field of fast radio bursts (FRBs). The successful candidate will work closely with our research group to detect, analyze, and interpret data on FRBs.
Responsibilities:
* Detect and analyze FRBs using our coherent FRB detection system (CRACO)
* Analyze and interpret data on FRBs using our offline processing pipeline, CELEBI
* Conduct follow-up observations of FRBs and their host galaxies across optical, radio, and other wavelengths
Requirements:
* Doctoral qualification in astronomy or astrophysics
* Demonstrated knowledge in at least one of radio astronomy, cosmology, extragalactic astronomy, and/or signal processing
* Demonstrated competency in qualitative and quantitative research
* Emerging research track record/potential to conduct quality research and contribute productively to research teams
