Job Description
As Legal Counsel, your expertise will be leveraged to provide high-quality legal advice to stakeholders on various aspects, including commercial contracting, corporate governance, and technology operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing timely and effective legal advice to business managers on general commercial contracts
* Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with commercial plans
* Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing legal documents
* Assisting with mergers and acquisitions transactions and corporate matters
* Advising on data protection and privacy issues
* Representing the business in meetings with clients and stakeholders
* Providing a balanced and commercial approach to negotiations
* Assisting with litigation and disputes
* Developing high-quality precedents for internal use
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will possess:
* 2-4 years of post-qualification experience as a lawyer, preferably in technology law, corporate law, or general commercial contracting
* Experience/exposure in privacy and data protection
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
* Developed communication skills (written and verbal)
* Commercial acumen and ability to multitask
* A proactive, professional, and flexible approach to work
* Humility and diligence in teamwork
