About The Role
The Senior Safety & Training Advisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the coordination, monitoring and management of all Health, Safety & Training requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor Occupational Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management systems for optimal performance
* Develop training manuals and competency training packages aligned with industry standards
* Manage asset registers and ensure assets are assigned with current certification
* Review incident reports and investigations to mitigate re-occurrence
* Facilitate Risk Assessments and lead site incident investigations to identify areas for improvement
* Liaise with site teams and provide ongoing support to drive business success
Requirements:
* Cert IV in OHS and Cert IV in Training & Assessment for sound knowledge and skills
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a safety professional role within mining operations
* Familiarity with Workplace/Mine Health & Safety legislation for compliance
* Proven leadership skills in Risk Management, Incident Investigation and Safety Leadership
* Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for effective collaboration
* Valid manual drivers licence and ability to pass a pre-employment medical and National Police Clearance for secure working conditions
