Job Description
Oaks Sunshine Coast Seaforth Resort are looking for a reliable and hands-on Gardener to support the upkeep and presentation of our landscaped areas on a casual basis.
This role is essential in ensuring the gardens, grounds and outdoor areas of the property are maintained to a high standard, creating a safe, attractive and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The successful candidate will carry out routine gardening and grounds maintenance duties while working in a safe, environmentally responsible manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out daily gardening and grounds maintenance tasks in line with property standards.
* Maintain lawns, garden beds, hedges, trees and outdoor landscaped areas.
* Operate gardening tools and equipment safely and professionally.
* Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned, maintained and correctly stored after use.
* Apply environmentally responsible gardening practices where possible.
* Identify and report any hazards, safety risks or maintenance issues promptly.
* Keep work areas always clean and tidy.
* Support seasonal planting, pruning, mulching and general garden improvements as required.
* Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and all relevant regulations.
Shift Details
* Casual position
* Monday to Friday
* 7.00am start (flexible for the right candidate)
* Occasional weekend or public holiday work may be required on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Previous experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance.
* Knowledge of safe use of gardening tools and equipment.
* Understanding of basic plant care, lawn maintenance and garden upkeep.
* A strong awareness of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
* The ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
* A reliable work ethic with good attention to detail.
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work.
* A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the overall presentation of the property.
* Horticulture or related qualifications are highly regarded.
