Job Description Early Childhood Teacher – Newman ELC YMCA WA (the Y WA) Young Men's Christian Association
Annual Salary: $93,190.50 - $117,994.50 + $6.52 p/h + 12% Super + Benefits. Full-Time permanent position.
About the role: The Y WA is recruiting an Early Childhood Teacher to join our Newman Early Learning Centre team. We are seeking a passionate Teacher with strong communication skills, a love for early childhood education, and the ability to build strong, genuine relationships with parents, staff, and young children. What does the role look like?
Responsibilities include:
* Encouraging and nurturing children to grow socially and emotionally, instilling a love of learning through a variety of strategies and activities.
* Working to develop a program that meets the needs of individual children and reflects children's interests, development, culture, and the YMCA's Approach to Learning.
* Liaising with, supporting, and assisting parents in a friendly, non-judgemental, and personal way.
* Maintaining the required developmental records of children as required by the Regulations, EYLF and the NQF.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalent qualification.
* An understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulations 2012, the EYLF and the NQF.
* Experience developing and implementing programs.
* HLTAID004 First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance, and Working with Children check.
* Previous experience working in an Early Learning Centre.
