Role Description
This is a volunteer, part time, community based role based in the Southern Grampians Shire for a Board Director at CUC Southern Grampians Ltd. The Board Director, in conjunction with other Board members, will oversee governance processes, strategic planning, and financial management for the organisation. Responsibilities include leading board meetings (if in the role of Chair), providing strategic direction, upholding compliance and regulatory requirements, and acting as an active ambassador for the organisation. The role supports the Centre Manager to enhance collaboration with stakeholders, local councils, businesses, and educational providers to foster growth and development in the region.

* Experience in strategic planning, organisational leadership, and decision-making.
* Financial literacy, budgeting, and fiscal management capabilities.
* Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
* Understanding of regional development, education systems, or community engagement.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve organizational goals.
* Previous board experience or leadership roles would be advantageous but is not necessary.
* Knowledge of the Southern Grampians region's socio-economic context is a plus.
