We are looking for a creative, proactive and energetic Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Based in Broome, you'll play a key role in telling the story of our local business community, capturing the energy, impact and success of everything we do and sharing it consistently across our platforms. This is not a sit‐back marketing role. We're looking for someone who is hands‐on, gets things done and loves being in the action. You will be part of our effective peak advocacy organisation supporting a strong local business network.
About the Role
This role is all about bringing BCCI to life every single day. You'll be responsible for creating and sharing content, promoting events, supporting sponsorship outcomes, and making sure our brand shows up strongly and consistently across every channel. You'll work closely with the CEO and Events Coordinator to ensure everything we do is thoroughly promoted, visually strong and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and publish daily content across BCCI social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn and more)
* Capture and promote the real time impact of our events and business community (photos, videos, stories)
* Design and deliver event marketing assets, including:
o Sponsorship prospectuses
o Invitations and programs
o Event promotions and campaigns
* Update and maintain content across:
o BCCI website
o Love Broome website
o Monthly BCCI newsletter
* Lead event promotion, ticket sales and sponsorship deals
* Assist in developing sponsorship materials and ensuring sponsor deliverables are met
* Create post‐event impact reports that showcase outcomes, impact and value
* Ensure all marketing is aligned to BCCI brand and presented to a high standard
* Coordinate media opportunities and assist with media releases
What We're Looking For
* Experience in marketing, communications, social media and events
* Strong graphic design skills (Canva essential, Adobe highly regarded)
* Confident writer who can tell a great story quickly and clearly
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Someone who takes initiative, sees what needs to be done and just gets on with it
* Comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment with regular events and competing priorities
* A genuine passion for supporting local business and being part of the Broome community
* Previous experience in event sponsorship activities and securing sponsorship partnerships
* Australian work rights required for this position
Role Details
* Location: Broome (office‐based role, no remote work)
* Salary: $80,000 + super
* Hours: Part‐time – 4 days per week (flexibility required, including some after‐hours events)
* Start Date: Immediate or as agreed
