Early Childhood Education and Care Educator
Part-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency
Details: The CIT Children's Education & Care department is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of part time Educator Level 1. The individual will have extensive early childhood experience across the sector with a strong knowledge of current industry practices in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care. The individual will provide quality learning experiences to a range of student cohorts in a number of training environments, including face to face and online delivery.
The successful applicant will have the demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member with minimum supervision utilising well developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Clause M10.8 states that all employees at Educator Level 1.3 (TL1.7) to the Head of Department Level must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent) and a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent).
Registration/licensing
- All CIT and ACTPS employees are required to complete a criminal history record check form prior to employment.
- All employees at Educator Level 1 or Level 2 are required to have relevant industry experience and vocational qualifications equal to that being taught, or as specified in the applicable training package or accredited curriculum specifications.
A minimum of five years’ experience in the field of Early Childhood Education and Care, and the holding of a Bachelor of Early Childhood degree.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 13 October 2025 to 12 October 2026 with the possibility of permanency. This position is part-time at 22.03 hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.
An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
