About the role
APX Traffic Management Pty Ltd is seeking experienced and reliable Traffic Controllers and Team Leaders to join our team in Yallah, NSW. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule. As a Traffic Controller or Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of workers and the public at various worksites.
What you'll be doing
* Controlling and directing traffic flow at construction sites, road works, and other designated areas
* Placing and removing traffic control devices such as signs, barriers, and traffic lights
* Monitoring and adjusting traffic control measures to respond to changing conditions
* Providing guidance and supervision to a team of Traffic Controllers, as required
* Ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations and procedures
* Communicating effectively with the public, site managers, and other stakeholders
What we're looking for
* Experience as a Traffic Controller or Team Leader, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
* Certification in Traffic Control and/or Traffic Management, as well as a white card.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
