These programs will see the scope of our teaching effort broaden significantly and shape the future Health workforce in Australia and beyond.Why this role mattersThe successful applicant will make a significant contribution to the delivery of biomechanics curriculum within the Bachelor of Applied Exercise / Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology and the Bachelor of Exercise Science / Master of Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology programs in the School of Health Sciences. As a teaching/research academic, there is expectation of ongoing research and emerging profile as an independent researcher.Some Key Skills RequiredLevel BA PhD in biomechanics or a related discipline.Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia as an exercise scientist, sports scientist, or exercise physiologist (highly desirable).Experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses (subjects) and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.Demonstrated ability to integrate the teaching of biomechanics curriculum within exercise science, exercise physiology or physiotherapy practice.Experience of implementing educational technologies and online delivery methods.Research outputs commensurate with a strong performing early career researcher.Level C (in addition to the above)Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.Apply a well-defined teaching philosophy and a critically reflective practice that inspires student learning.Attract peer recognition and establish research network/s (based on the norms of the discipline) at a national level.Obtain research income from nationally competitive research grants (and/or research fellowships) and research end-users as a member or leader (may include education research/funding), at or above the level that is relevant to the discipline in leading universities.Full details can be found in the position description.UNSW Benefits And CultureUNSW offer a competitive salary and access to a plethora of UNSW-perks including:17% Superannuation and leave loadingFlexible workingAdditional 3 days of leave over the Christmas PeriodAccess to lifelong learning and career developmentProgressive HR practicesMore information on the great staff benefits and culture can be found here.How To ApplyPlease click on Apply now to apply online.
