Reporting to the Head of Quality, Claims and Compliance, The Quality and Compliance Specialist is a permanent, full time role and manages all contract-related communications and daily business activities in collaboration with the contract manager. This includes analyzing contractual and guideline changes, assessing their impact on business processes, and leading internal audits to identify risks and improve compliance performance. Our embarc footprint spans across NSW, ACT and VIC however the role can be based anywhere in Australia.
Key duties of this responsibility include:
- Manage all IEA Quality Assurance and Compliance improvements.
- Coordinate quarterly IEA Program Assurance checks, including gathering documentary evidence and liaising with Employment Consultants to ensure quality assurance and compliance, and provide Program Assurance reports to the department.
- Advise management of upcoming IEA guideline changes and coordinate updates to current QA forms to meet requirements.
- Support IEA management and sites to onboard, train, and upskill IEA employees.
- Coach and support the Team Leader (Compliance) and IEA admin staff.
- Provide monthly Quality Assurance and Compliance reports.
- Support IEA staff with technical enquiries regarding Quality Assurance and Compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all departmental communications, including keeping a register to of approvals.
- Disseminate clear and concise information regarding contractual changes to the business in a timely manner, highlighting any associated process updates.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to contractual requirements.
- Lead and actively participate in compliance meetings with business stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and actionable recommendations to enhance compliance performance.
- Ensure all systems are aligned with and support contractual requirements to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
- Manage departmental complaints and ensure timely submission of required documentation in accordance with departmental deadlines.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisation and process-oriented skills.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
- Awareness and knowledge of confidentiality and privacy practices.
- Minimum 3 years experience in Disability Employment Services.
- 1 year minimum experience in a quality and compliance role (preferably in the community services sector).
- Knowledge and experience of ESS and third party employment services systems.
