Reporting to IT Application Team Leader, and working together with key stakeholders, this role has been created to build our regression and acceptance testing foundation in readiness for future automated testing.
**Key requirements of the role**:
- develop efficient test suites to provide the necessary coverage and confidence to release whilst minimising manual effort and testing times wherever possible
- participate in the release management and planning processes, and eventually function as the "gate" for moving software into production
**Required Skills**:
- 3+ years of industry experience working within the Quality Assurance domain with the ability to clearly articulate Quality Assurance concepts and processes
- a readiness to take ownership of distinct areas of testing
- demonstrable skills and experience at identifying appropriate test scenarios, including relevant edge and error cases
- the confidence to not only diagnose issues in technical and business logic but support engineers and analysts to diagnose their root cause
- knowledge of using Jira to manage defects and releases, and skills with SQL Server (mandatory)
- a self-driven, efficient, and pro-active attitude with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
**Qualifications**:
- a supporting degree in Engineering, Computer Systems, or Information Systems
