Occupational Therapy Role
We are seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our team in providing clinical occupational therapy services.
The successful candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to provide direct occupational therapy services, assess patient needs, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
1. Key Responsibilities:
2. Provide direct occupational therapy services to clients/patients and/or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and outpatients.
3. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including assessment of personal care, domestic and community ADLs, and cognitive and functional physical assessment.
4. Develop and implement appropriate treatment interventions and progress patients towards functional goals.
5. Coordinate the provision of special aids and equipment requirements of patients as needed.
6. Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering, and allied health professionals within the Division.
7. Complete administrative duties arising from each session, including liaison with office administration teams, reporting of statistical data, and completion of clinical documentation.
8. Participate in multidisciplinary activities such as team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences.
9. Deliver education programs within the service and for Divisional caregivers.
10. Supervise, instruct, and assess students in approved clinical teaching programs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment, and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice.
* Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively using technology.
* The capacity to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
