Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be an integral part of managing Tully Sugar's farming operations.
Tully Sugar's cane farms produce approximately 140,000 tonnes of cane across the Tully District.

The Role
You will be a motivated individual with a good work ethic, assisting our Farm Manager in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our farming activities and workgroup. Reasonable overtime may be required. The role is hands-on, requiring farming knowledge and experience. Weekend work will be scheduled during the crushing season.

Alongside the Farm Manager, there are four main cane/cultivation employees.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Required:
* Experience in broad-acre farming operations
* Proven competency with farm machinery operation
* Chemical handling certification
* Understanding of modern cane harvesting practices
* Commitment to BMP
* Maintaining farming operation records
* HR Truck licence
* Ability to lead the farm workgroup during the Farm Manager's absence
* Budget and costing knowledge (desirable)
Remuneration and Fitness for Duty
This is a full-time, permanent salaried position with an attractive package. Participation in our Fitness for Duty program, including drug and alcohol testing prior to employment, is mandatory. Tully Sugar factory and farming sites are non-smoking areas.
