Role: Children and Young Person's Practice Leader
Responsibilities
* Provide expert practice leadership on engaging children and young people, assessing risk and needs for infants, children, young people and families, and supporting interventions for those affected by family violence or vulnerabilities.
* Proactively build capability across The Orange Door workforce, collaborating to ensure that the experiences and voices of children and young people inform the service response in line with The Orange Door Service Model and Best Interests Case Practice Model.
About The Program
The Orange Door Program brings together workforces from Community Service organisations, Aboriginal Services, Family Safety Victoria and DFFH, to deliver an integrated practice model and a consolidated intake point for:
* Women, children, young people, and families who are experiencing or have experienced family violence
* People who use violence
* Families requiring support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children, and young people
Uniting focuses on providing services to vulnerable families who require extra support with the care, development and wellbeing of unborn babies, infants, children and young people.

Your skills and experience
* Professional clinical experience and relevant qualification(s) in social work, psychology or a related discipline is essential.
* Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent as per mandatory minimum qualification requirements for specialist family violence practitioners.
* Strong knowledge of drivers/causes of family violence and child and family vulnerability, and understanding of child and family services and/or broader social services sector and their practices and theories.
* Demonstrated experience in leading practice within complex service delivery contexts, particularly multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approaches for vulnerable children, families and diverse communities.
* Valid and current Driver's License.
