Raptor Group is a fast-growing, WA family business operating across plant hire, mechanical, haulage, civil projects and workshop operations. And we're looking for a practical, switched‑on HR Coordinator to join us in our Albany office.
This is not a high-level policy role. It's an everyday, in‑the‑business, sleeves‑up position that keeps our people moving and our projects resourced. If you enjoy being the person who makes things happen — this is your role.
Hands‑on HR
* Recruitment
* Rosters
* Mobilisation
* Real Operational Impact
THE ROLE
The HR Coordinator supports our teams across Albany, Perth, Karratha and regional project sites, ensuring our operators, drivers, mechanics & technicians are onboarded, scheduled, mobilised and compliant.
You'll be responsible for:
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Recruiting a wide range of roles — operators, mechanics, drivers, workshop staff and office roles
* Writing ads, screening applicants, coordinating interviews
* Managing onboarding, contracts, licences, tickets, VOCs & inductions
* Maintaining employee records and compliance documents
Rosters, Mobilisation & Workforce Support
* Managing rosters, shift changes and short‑notice coverage
* Coordinating flights, accommodation and mobilisation for operators
* Ensuring people arrive on site with correct paperwork, PPE and requirements
* Liaising with supervisors, project managers and operations teams daily
* Handling practical issues that arise with staff on site
HR Administration, Compliance & Fatigue Management
* Day‑to‑day HR administration
* Assisting team leaders with management of performance issues, conflict resolution & early intervention
* Ensuring compliance with awards, employment law & company policies
* Experience with NHVR fatigue management requirements for heavy vehicles is highly regarded, including understanding WA fatigue rules, rosters, work/rest hours, and ensuring drivers meet compliance requirements
* Keeping records accurate, up‑to‑date and audit ready
Systems, Processes & Improvement
* Driving continuous improvement across HR workflows
* Implementing or upgrading HR platforms (we are open to your recommendation)
* Helping build scalable systems that support our growth
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Someone who thrives in a busy, operational workplace and enjoys handling a mix of admin, people issues and recruitment. You'll be a good fit if you are:
* Confident with people at all levels, including operators and site supervisors
* Organised & proactive, not afraid to chase things up and get answers
* Detail‑focused, especially with compliance, tickets, licences and mobilisation
* Comfortable in fast‑changing environments — no two days are the same
* Solutions‑driven, not someone who waits for direction
* Experienced in HR, recruitment, rostering or workforce coordination (min 2–3 years)
* Experience with NHVR fatigue management or heavy haulage compliance is a strong advantage
* Experience in construction, mining, civil, haulage, labour‑hire or mechanical environments is ideal
WHY JOIN RAPTOR?
* Work directly with owners & leadership team that live our core values:
o Can. Do. Done: We step up, take ownership, and get it sorted—no fuss.
o Straight Up: We keep it real. Bring good energy. Say it how it is.
o We Get It: We understand our people, our clients, the job. We've got each other's backs.
o Stretch, Don't Settle: We aim high and dig in.
* Be a key part of our growth across WA
* Strong autonomy — make the role your own
* Competitive salary + real influence on HR systems and operations
If you want a role where you can truly influence the business, support a growing team, and be hands‑on with real operational challenges — we'd love to hear from you.
