Derby Aboriginal Health Service (DAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that prides itself on delivering holistic primary health care to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Derby and surrounding areas. Your Role as a Registered Nurse

As a Registered Nurse at DAHS, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality health services to our clients. Your ability to operate independently while implementing care plans will be essential in ensuring our community members receive the best possible care.

You will be responsible for a diverse range of clinical services, including patient assessments, health promotion activities, and mentoring Aboriginal Health Worker Trainees. Your expertise will contribute to ongoing quality improvement systems, ensuring that we maintain our commitment to delivering culturally protected and effective health services.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and culturally aware nurses who are ready to make a real difference.

- Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holding a current “C” Class motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Previous experience in Aboriginal Primary Health Care and a commitment to community-controlled health principles.
- Strong understanding of rural and remote health issues, with proven ability to work in cross-cultural settings.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Aboriginal communities and a wide range of health professionals.
- Willingness to undergo a Working with Children’s Check and National Police clearance.
- Fully Covid-19 vaccinated.

If you have experience in a remote setting or hold additional qualifications such as an Immunisation Certificate or CRANA Remote Emergency Care Course, we would love to hear from you!

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary from $87,116 per annum, reflective of skills, experience, and years of service.

- Experienced Nurses
Salary up to $105,002 per annum, reflective of skills, experience, and years of service.
