Chef Job Description
Our kitchen is the heart of our service, where we prepare and deliver nutritious meals to children in line with their dietary requirements.
We are seeking a passionate Chef who shares our commitment to quality, consistency, and creativity. The successful applicant will oversee the daily preparation of meals, manage menu planning, food costing, and stock control, ensuring seasonal and sustainable ingredients are used.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working as a Chef, preferably in early childhood or institutional catering. A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification is also preferred.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing menu planning, food costing, and stock control
* Ensuring seasonal and sustainable ingredients are used
* Overseeing the daily preparation of meals
* Coordinating with colleagues to ensure smooth meal delivery
Requirements for success include:
* At least one year of experience working as a Chef, preferably in early childhood or institutional catering
* A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
* Excellent time management, organization, and leadership skills
* A warm, positive attitude and genuine passion for creating healthy, child-friendly meals
