TMBL is seeking an influential and strategic Head of Enterprise Risk & Assurance to drive the evolution of our Risk Management Framework and strengthen governance, oversight and assurance across the organisation. Integrating key program embedment into BAU, this role will manage a team of 3 and join the leadership group for Risk and Compliance.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Head of Enterprise Risk & Assurance is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing, embedding and continuously enhancing TMBL's Risk Management Framework (RMF), Three Lines of Defence model, and controls assurance practices.

You will work closely with the Board, Board Risk & Compliance Committee, Executive and senior business leaders to influence high quality, risk aware decision making across the Bank.

This is a key opportunity for a commercial, collaborative and highly capable risk leader to drive sustainable uplift, strengthen governance, and lead a high performing team.

Key Responsibilities
* Own and enhance the Bank's Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment to APRA standards and industry best practice.
* Oversee Risk Governance, including coordination of Management Risk Committee and Board Risk & Compliance Committee.
* Provide expert second line challenge, guidance and support to business leaders.
* Lead enterprise-wide risk capability uplift and training programs.
* Lead the Controls Assurance function, including people leadership, planning and performance.
* Maintain the Annual Controls Assurance Monitoring Plan with coverage of material nonfinancial risks.
* Oversee second line monitoring, testing and challenge of control effectiveness.
* Analyse assurance outcomes and emerging risks to inform forward-looking insights.
* Sustainably embed new processes, tools and risk capabilities transitioned from transformation programs.
* Continuously enhance risk systems, processes and reporting.
* Oversee risk culture and capability programs.
* Deliver high-quality risk and assurance reporting to Executive and Board.
* Partner with Internal and External Audit on reviews, evidence coordination and remediation tracking.
* Build strong, trusted relationships with Executive leaders and key stakeholders.
* Lead, develop and coach a high performing team.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
* Promote strong risk culture across the organisation.
About You

You are a confident and commercially minded risk leader with deep expertise in enterprise risk, governance and controls assurance. You bring strong judgement, Executive and Board-level communication capability, and the ability to provide constructive challenge while building trusted relationships. You're skilled at uplifting capability, leading teams through change, and embedding sustainable risk practices that strengthen the Three Lines of Defence and support informed, risk-aware decision-making across the Bank.

Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Risk, Finance, Business, Accounting or related discipline.
Experience
* Extensive experience in enterprise risk, assurance, risk governance or audit within financial services.
* Demonstrated experience delivering controls assurance or monitoring programs.
* Proven capability producing and presenting Board level risk reporting.
Skills & Capability
* Deep technical expertise in ERM, governance, risk frameworks and controls assurance.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks (APRA, ASIC, AUSTRAC).
* Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills.
* Leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a risk focused team.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, operating effectively in a complex, regulated environment.
