Job Title: Journeyman Electrician / Electrical Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Electrician (Electrical Technician) to join our team at AMAC Services, Inc. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings while ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes. Strong knowledge of safety procedures, schematics, and the ability to work independently or with a team is required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, and control systems
2. Inspect and test components, equipment, and systems for defects and functionality
3. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical code specifications
4. Troubleshoot issues and perform corrective actions
5. Ensure work is performed in compliance with NEC and local building codes
6. Use hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and test instruments safely
7. Mentor apprentices and ensure safety procedures are followed
8. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
* Valid Journeyman Electrician license
* Minimum 4 years of electrical experience
* Familiarity with residential, commercial, or industrial electrical systems
* Strong understanding of the Electrical Code (NEC)
* Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
* Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
* Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
Skills:
* Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
* Knowledge of low-voltage and high-voltage systems
* OSHA certification or equivalent safety training
