Your next career opportunity: As a Contracts Officer, you will play a vital role in negotiating and executing research agreements, providing commercial advice to internal stakeholders, and ensuring seamless contract management. You will have the opportunity to cultivate productive relationships within the Research Contracts team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across the University, enhancing your skills in negotiation and contract law. Your responsibilities will include: Negotiate and Finalise Agreements: Review, advise, and finalise research and commercial engagement agreements, seeking legal advice as necessary. Build Collaborative Relationships: Establish strong working relationships with researchers, RIC staff, Faculty staff, and external customers. Support Contract Processing: Organise approval and signing of agreements, and report contract status to management. Mentor Junior Staff: mentor and buddy with junior Contracts Officers, fostering their development and skill enhancement. You may be a great fit if: You possess a law degree with experience in contract negotiation and advisory within commercial or government settings, and excel in communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration. You may also: Have a law degree with expertise in drafting and negotiating contracts. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate strong initiative, judgment, and problem-solving abilities. Excel in time management and organisational skills. Be committed to providing responsive and quality client service.
