Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Development (70% Focus)
o Identify and secure new clients across South Australia, targeting industries such as mining, construction, and logistics.
o Develop strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, and service providers to expand market reach.
o Conduct market analysis to uncover opportunities in spare parts demand and service contracts (e.g., maintenance agreements like Essential Care and Complete Care).
2. Existing Client Management (30% Focus)
o Optimize revenue from established accounts through upselling service packages, remanufactured components, and spare parts.
o Resolve client complaints, ensure service delivery excellence, and maintain long-term relationships.
o Motivate, and evaluate distributor performance to align with sales targets and brand standards.
o Implement sales tools (e.g., CRM systems, data analytics) to track distributor KPIs and inventory turnover.
o Develop annual sales plans focusing on profitability, market penetration, and competitive pricing.
o Analyze sales data to refine strategies, forecast demand, and report progress to senior leadership.
3. Functional Collaboration & Partnering
o Work with technical, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery and product support.
Experience & Skills
* 8+ years in aftermarket sales, with a proven track record in service contracts and spare parts sales (mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, heavy machinery, or related sectors).
* Experience in distributor management: Demonstrated success in managing distributor networks and driving sales growth through third-party channels.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), MS Office, and data analysis platforms. Knowledge of equipment telematics (e.g., Insight applications) to optimize parts sales based on usage data.
* Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving abilities; willingness to travel regionally (30–50%).
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
