The Royal Children's Hospital's (RCH) Vision is "A world where all kids thrive". RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics and The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation. RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years with a full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services, including tertiary and quaternary care for complex cases. The Hospital has more than 6,000 staff, a budget of $850M, 12 wards and 350 beds, with 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments annually and 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations.
This is a 0.8 FTE position within the Children's Cancer Centre (CCC). 0.6 FTE is fixed term (until 15 April 2028) and 0.2 FTE is ongoing.
What You'll Achieve
* Provide mental health services to children and adolescents under the care of the RCH CCC, including mental health assessment, treatment and consultation for patients and families referred to the program.
* Deliver excellent evidence-based practice to children, young people and their families who are patients of the RCH CCC.
* Collaborate with other disciplines within the team to ensure high-quality inter-disciplinary care.
* Engage in supervision (operational, professional, and clinical).
Your Skills And Experience
* Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline.
* Current Registration with AHPRA (where professionally relevant).
* Demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
About The Department
The RCH Children's Cancer Centre (CCC) is a major partner in the Victorian Paediatric Integrated Cancer Services and a member of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Care program. It includes an inpatient ward with bone marrow transplant beds, a day oncology unit, outpatient clinic area, oncology pharmacy, family facility, research program, clinical trials office and administrative centre.
