Exhibits and Theatre Programming Manager
As a key member of our dynamic team, we are seeking a skilled and creative Exhibits and Theatre Programming Manager to help us achieve our ambitious 3-year vision for elevating programming quantity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program Development: Designing innovative and unique programs and events for the Leah Posluns Theatre, continually expanding offerings and curriculum to engage the community and beyond.
* Exhibit Curation: Curating community art exhibits and visual displays, overseeing installations at both the Schwartz/Reisman Centre and the Prosserman JCC.
* Relationship Building: Developing lasting and meaningful relationships with members, partnerships with community organizations, audiences, staff, and stakeholders.
* Operations Management: Collaborating with the Theatre and Admin teams to ensure high-quality execution of programs and daily operations, providing a seamless experience for attendees and clients.
* Outreach and Marketing: Liaising with the marketing department to effectively promote theatre programming, exhibits, and events, expanding current and uncovering new markets.
* Contract Administration: Responsible for all contracts for partnership and JCC events.
* Financial Management: Managing theatre and exhibit programming budget, tracking expenses, and maximizing impact.
Bonus Points:
* Educational background in Performing Arts or Production.
* 5+ years of progressive work in the Arts & Culture industry, including 3+ years in supervisory roles.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present at public platforms.
* Experience in creating, implementing, and managing programs, events, and budgets, along with a wide contact base.
* Strong multitasking skills and flexibility to meet varying deadlines; independent self-starter with the ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as necessary.
* Proven ability to effectively collaborate with many different teams, both internally and externally.
* A commitment to building Jewish Community and alignment with the JCC vision and mission.
* Knowledge and understanding of theatre technology to liaise well with Technical Manager.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Database Management.
* Marketing skills an asset.
