We are currently seeking experienced Residential Painters to join our team based in Alice Springs, NT on a 3:1 roster. This role is ideal for individuals who love their trade and enjoy working in a supportive, safety-focused environment.
About the Role
This role is crucial to the execution and delivery of high-quality results for new builds and refurbishments, both locally and in remote locations.
Based in Alice Springs, the role supports a range of remote construction and refurbishment projects. You'll be involved in new builds, upgrades and maintenance works, often working in camp-style environments. You'll also be assisting other trades as required.
Extensive travel to job sites is part of the fun, adding variety to your working week. A travel allowance is paid for each night you are required to be away from Alice Springs.
What You Will Be Doing
* Prepare walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces for painting
* Apply paint, varnish, and finish to a high standard
* Patch, plaster, and carry out minor repairs as required
* Work independently or as part of a small team across remote community sites
* Collaborate with other trades
* Accurately complete daily job documentation and time records using SimPro.
* Represent the business professionally when interacting with clients and stakeholders.
* Maintain work vehicles, tools and equipment in safe, serviceable condition.
What We Are Looking For
* Painters with 1 year post trade experience
* Basic computer literacy for daily job and time record submissions
* Proactive safety focus and willingness to always adhere to safe work practices
* Strong communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
* Adaptability and flexibility to work in remote, diverse environments
* Cross-cultural awareness
* Able to pass a pre-employment medical and alcohol / drug screen
* Someone who enjoys hands-on work, attention to detail, and contributing to the improvement of homes in remote communities
Qualifications
* Cert III in Painting and Decorating
* EWP licence (desirable)
* Current Working at Heights
* White Card
* Valid Driver's Licence (manual preferred)
* Working with Children / Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
