People and Culture Assistant – Graduate Opportunity

Are you a recent or soon-to-be HR graduate looking for your first step into the industry? Join Torrens Health as a People and Culture Assistant and gain hands-on experience across the full employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding and engagement.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone starting their HR career and eager to learn. You’ll gain exposure to all aspects of HR and recruitment while supporting our business leaders to keep processes running smoothly and employees engaged.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Posting job ads, managing applications, and coordinating interviews
- Preparing contracts and onboarding documentation
- Setting up new employees in HRIS, payroll, and compliance systems
- Maintaining accurate employee records and compliance tracking
- Assisting with contract changes, leave processes, and exit procedures
- Coordinating training records and supporting staff engagement initiatives
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, motivated, and passionate about HR. You’ll bring:
- A degree (or near completion) in HR, Business, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Confidence using Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- A can-do attitude and an interest in healthcare or community services
