Key Roles and Responsibilities
This is a vital role that plays a significant part in the effective functioning of our national parts operations. It involves customer satisfaction, market penetration, campaign sales, revenues and margin attainment.
Reporting to the National Parts Manager, this position utilises robust data analysis, market information and voice of customer to develop and implement key initiatives designed to optimise the competitiveness and performance of our parts function.
Key to success requires genuine customer centricity, coupled with the ability to partner effectively across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups nationally.
These include bus operators, OEM suppliers, workshops, service agents, marketing, sales and parts functions.
Core skills required for this role include:
* Strong capability in performing detailed data analysis that produce meaningful insights and senior management reports.
* Ability to effectively translate voice of customer feedback into high value, market competitive solutions.
* Highly coordinated engagement with cross functional teams, including workshops, external service agents, customer service coordinators, sales and marketing functions, OEM's and suppliers.
* Effective monitoring and reporting on evolving market conditions, enabling us to clearly understand the competitive landscape, identify key opportunities to further improve our parts operations capabilities and overall performance.
* Development and launch of innovative and fit for purpose parts solutions that are highly valued by our customers and enhance competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generation, interrogation and analysis of parts related data, provision of insights, reporting and recommendations.
* Development and launch of approved parts offerings initiatives, such as aged inventory clearances and service packs.
* Lead Trade Marketing initiatives and sales programs.
* Co-design tailored parts / service offerings for inclusion within new bus sale offerings.
* Monitor and report the performance of key initiatives against their target objectives / plan.
* Liaise effectively, often through influencing, with service, sales, and workshop teams to ensure seamless coordination and workflow.
* Drive parts sales growth by identifying customer needs, promoting suitable solutions, and proactively seeking opportunities to expand revenue across the dealer network and service department.
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
* Provide accurate and timely parts advice to both internal teams and external clients.
* Uphold the company's professional image and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
* Function effectively as the 2IC to the National Parts Manager.
Requirements:
* Excellent data analysis, associated reporting and communication skills.
* Strong time management, personal organisation, working autonomously.
* Customer-focused communicator, including engagement with marketing functions / teams.
* Automotive trade Parts development experience with Dealer or OEM.
* Proven ability to identify market opportunities and promote suitable parts solutions.
* Solid experience in the automotive parts industry.
* Demonstrated leadership and team supervision skills, with the ability to mentor and influence staff.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of how parts operations contribute to broader business goals.
* Proficient with Pentana or similar Dealer Management System (DMS), Microsoft Office, and CRM software.
* Solid computer literacy for inventory management and communication.
