Position Summary:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled Media Operator to join our post production team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing media across the post pipeline — including ingest, transcoding, exports, QC, mastering, and final delivery. You’ll work closely with producers, editors, and online artists to ensure content moves smoothly through each stage and reaches clients at the highest possible standard.

Key Responsibilities:
Media Management
•Ingest rushes from production (camera cards, drives, remote transfers)
•Transcode and generate proxies for offline editorial
•Organise and maintain file structures, naming conventions and metadata
•Support editors and online artists with media relinks and re-conforms
•Prep and consolidate projects for colour, sound and online finishing
•Manage archives, backups and data wrangling across servers and drives
QC, Mastering & Delivery
•Export and master files for TVC, digital, social and cinema delivery
•Perform QC checks to ensure files meet technical and creative standards
•Troubleshoot file, codec and format issues
•Manage deliveries via Peach, CAD, Adstream, Extreme Reach, IMD, Frame.io, Vimeo and other platforms (including FileCatalyst, MASV)
•Maintain version control and accurate delivery logs
Skills & Experience
•2+ years in a post production, media or broadcast operations role
•Strong understanding of file formats, codecs, colour spaces and frame rates
•Familiarity with editorial software (Premiere Pro, Resolve, Avid) and transcoding tools (Media Encoder, Compressor, Shutter Encoder)
•Excellent file organisation and media management skills
•Ability to work under pressure, across multiple deadlines
•Detail-focused with strong quality control instincts
•Calm communicator who works well with both creative and technical teams
Bonus Skills
•Experience with delivery platforms (File Catalyst, FTP, MASV, Adstream, IMD, ER, Peach)
•Knowledge of Flame, Baselight, On-Set Dailies or VFX pipelines is helpful
•Colour pipeline or LUT management experience
•Exposure to audio deliverables (mix splits, stems, etc.)
