Senior Corporate Lawyer - ASX Investment Organisation
This is a unique opportunity to lead the legal and governance function in a prominent Australian investment organisation.
You will work at the intersection of corporate law, funds management, and governance, shaping a newly created function and contributing to the company's success and growth.
The ideal candidate has a background in the corporate division of a top-tier law firm (M&A, investment funds, or ECM) or within the funds management sector. Reporting into the CFO, you will provide high-quality, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders, oversee and manage external legal counsel, and negotiate commercial terms with third parties.
As Company Secretary, this role ensures compliance with the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, and Corporate Governance Principles & Recommendations.
* Law degree and current unrestricted practising certificate.
* 10+ years' professional experience, with training in the corporate division of a top-tier law firm (M&A, ECM, or funds management).
* Ideally, experience within funds management.
* Proven drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Self-starter with the confidence to lead independently.
* High integrity, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative style.
