We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Policy Officer to join our team.

* As a Senior Policy Officer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing policies that promote public safety and national security.
You will engage with internal stakeholders, partner agencies, and policymakers to build an organisational position on new and emerging policy issues. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Drafting and consulting on core policy documents, including ministerial submissions and parliamentary inquiries.
* Supporting senior executives by drafting talking points and meeting briefs.
* Reviewing policy documents and proposals produced by policy departments to determine organisational equities and positions.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Australian citizenship.
* Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
* Contemporary knowledge and experience in government policy roles or similar.
