**The Role**
The Commercial and Financial Analysis team is part of the Commercial Division, within the Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. The team performs a specialist financial assurance and analysis function, primarily focused on achieving the best value for money for Defence through the acquisition and sustainment life cycle, including undertaking detailed cost investigation and financial analysis.
Working in support of multi-faceted teams, you will provide commercial, cost and price analysis in support of complex procurement activities. You will support financial analysis as it relates to the evaluation of costing and pricing proposals and provide input to negotiation activities, which achieve value for money for the Commonwealth. You will be exposed to a diverse range of activities that include the delivery of:
- Specialist pricing and cost analysis
- Contract pricing model development
- Financial risk mitigation
- Tendered Price Evaluations and Negotiations
- Contract Change Proposal validation
- Contract Periodic Cost Reviews
- Conducting the Annual Rate Review Program
- Company Viability Assessments
You will develop and foster productive working relationships with project leads and clients to develop commercial, costing and pricing strategies which are fit for purpose, achieve value for money and are consistent with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework and Defence policies.
**About our Team**
The Commercial Analysis and Financial Investigation Services team provides commercial and financial analysis to support procurement and contracting activities across the Defence organisation, and over all stages of the procurement and contracting life-cycle. The position will provide you with exposure to a diverse internal client base within cross-functional teams and provide significant opportunity to interact with industry across various industry sectors, including Defence Industry.
