Contracts Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Specialist to join our organisation on a permanent, full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in reducing exposure to external risk through reviewing, formulating, negotiating and summarising contracts for the sale of capital equipment and Site Services and Optimisation (SS&O) parts and services, ready for approval and signature.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the review and negotiation of contracts with customers;
* Prepare and present professional reports and proposals;
* Determine work priorities, meet deadlines, and take follow-up action until finalisation;
* Anticipate problems before they arise and take appropriate action to ensure solutions are found;
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
Requirements:
* Intermediate to advanced understanding of legal principles, particularly contract law;
* Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to determine work priorities, meet deadlines and take follow-up action until finalisation;
* Strong written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present professional reports and proposals;
* Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate problems before they arise and take appropriate action to ensure solutions are found;
* Well-developed negotiation and persuasion skills;
* Intermediate to advanced IT proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office software.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Tertiary study in Law, Business, Engineering or related discipline;
* Well-developed written and spoken communication skills in a second language;
* Knowledge of or ability to gain an understanding of the hard rock mining industry.
