Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on variety, autonomy and making a real impact? This is your chance to join an established, successful, young Perth construction company that is bringing HR in-house for the first time. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll have end-to-end responsibility for all HR activities across the business.
In this role, you'll:
* Manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation reviews and HR documentation
* Design, review and develop position descriptions and a full suite of HR and payroll policies, procedures and processes
* Lead initiatives for continual improvement of HR systems and processes
* Provide practical generalist HR advice to management and employees
* Manage training needs analysis, learning & development and upskilling initiatives
* Interpret Enterprise Agreements, awards, Fair Work Act requirements, and National Employment Standards
* Lead case investigations, grievances, disciplinaries and performance management
* Design, develop and implement performance review processes
* Facilitate coaching, development programs and training sessions
* Develop and implement Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) initiatives
* Manage employee engagement surveys and develop programs to enhance culture
* Provide HR data analysis and reporting as required
About You
* Proven experience in a broad Human Resources role, ideally within construction industry (or a similar industry) in Australia
* Relevant tertiary HR qualifications, or significant relevant experience
* Strong knowledge of HR compliance, systems and best practice
* Confident working independently and establishing HR processes from the ground up
* Excellent communicator—approachable, people-focused, and collaborative
* Hands-on, practical problem solver who thrives on variety and autonomy
