Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Tour Escort to join our team. As a Tour Escort, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional visitor experiences by providing engaging and informative tours of the Park's gardens, waterfalls, and historic architecture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
2. Deliver interactive and engaging tours of the park in accordance with established procedures.
3. Provide informative and entertaining commentary on the park's history, features, and landmarks, answer guest questions, distribute brochures, and translation sheets, present audiovisual content where applicable.
4. Inform guests of safety procedures and visitor facilities.
5. Welcome, engage, and build rapport with guests prior to tour departures to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
6. Manage the group to ensure that tours are completed within required timeframes – between 30 and 35 minutes.
7. Assist guests with special needs (e.g. parents with strollers and toddlers, vision- and hearing-impaired guests etc.).
8. Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and in accordance with procedures.
9. Maintain excellent knowledge of the park, nearby attractions, and services and recommend local activities and attractions to guests when requested.
10. Maintain clear communication with team members regarding tour departures, guest needs, and park operations to ensure smooth coordination and support.
11. Prioritise guest safety by identifying and reporting hazards, providing necessary safety aids, and coordinating emergency situations in line with procedures.
12. Maintain a professional and collaborative approach by building positive relationships, supporting team goals, and adhering to workplace standards and legal requirements.
13. Support daily operations by caring for equipment and property, maintaining clean work areas, attending training, and performing additional duties as directed.
Requirements:
* A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification in a related field.
* At least one year of relevant work experience.
* Good time management and organisation skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently with a diverse range of people.
* Well-presented, enthusiastic, positive attitudes, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
* Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with guests and the public.
* Maintain a flexible approach to work and client requirements with willingness and ability to demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility.
* Exceptional teamwork skills and ability to work with minimal/no supervision.
* Ability to follow directions.
Working Conditions:
The position involves working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The candidate must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
