Role Type: 12-month part time contact (22.8 hours per week)
Salary: $ 86,165 – $91,432 per annum (pro rata) plus superannuation

The opportunity

The Project Officer (Administration) role within the Systems Impact team at MCRI's Centre for Community Child Health provides critical coordination, communication, and operational support to a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. The Systems Impact team partners with governments, communities and services to help guide change that brings better outcomes for children and families. Acting as the "glue" of the team, the role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning, supports project delivery, and strengthens collaboration across stakeholders. Working closely with the Associate Director, the position contributes to improving team productivity and impact in a fast‐paced environment focused on advancing child health, education, wellbeing, and equity through evaluation, policy, and practice.

What you'll do
* Support the Associate Director with administrative and operational functions, including email and calendar management, team support, budget management
* Coordinate invoices and reimbursement claims with Finance
* Develop processes and support project managers, including maintaining CRM systems and project tracking
* Assist with tender and grant applications, including organising stakeholder contributions, drafting and formatting content, project proposals, reports and other documents
* Coordinate meetings and workshops, managing agendas, speakers, venues, logistics
What you'll bring
* Diploma/Degree qualification in relevant field (eg health, education, administration, project management) and/or equivalent experience in a similar role such as Office Assistant/Coordinator/Executive Assistant
* Demonstrated experience in operations, administration, office management, including diary management
* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including advanced formatting skills and advanced Excel skills
* Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and an aptitude for helping other people
* Demonstrated independent judgement and initiative, high attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently to plan, coordinate and organise projects
