The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join EnerMech as an Electrical Superintendent on the Snowy Hydro Project – one of Australia's most iconic infrastructure developments.
The role is a fixed-term contract starting now until early ****.
Working 2 weeks on, 1 week off provides a good work-life balance.
As the Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee day-to-day site activities and support our electrical team in delivering safe, high-quality work in line with EnerMech's standards.
Your key responsibilities include:
Regular attendance and participation in safety and toolbox meetings.
On-site removal, installation, and fabrication works (both site and workshop based).
General fitting and machining duties.
Preparing and submitting purchase requisitions.
Performing minor civil remediation and quality assurance verification.
Providing direction and mentorship to trades assistants and apprentices.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality benefits.
Working within EnerMech's Financial and Non-Financial Delegation Authority Matrix.
About You
You're an experienced and safety-focused trades professional who thrives in a dynamic project environment.
You take pride in leading by example, supporting your team, and delivering work to the highest standards.
Essential qualifications and experience
Trade Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting & Machining) or relevant trade qualification.
National Construction Card – White Card.
Police Clearance.
Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Car or Heavy Rigid).
Experience working at heights, forklift and confined space – desirable.
Demonstrated experience in industrial site or maintenance work – preferably within the Oil & Gas or infrastructure sectors.
Ability to operate engineering machinery, hand, power and measuring tools.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with all procedures and PPE requirements.
Flexibility with working hours to meet operational requirements.
Good communication skills.
