The Project
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, comprising John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs, and Ventia, has secured the contract to deliver this significant infrastructure, creating a long-lasting legacy for Adelaide.
The scope includes a 10.5 km motorway, over 4 km of twin three-lane tunnels, alongside road, bridge, and complex M&E installations. The project is expected to be open to traffic in 2031. The Role:
As a Commercial Manager on South Australia's largest infrastructure project, you will provide commercial and contractual expertise and guidance to the project team.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure project managers, contract administrators, and stakeholders understand and comply with commercial policies and procedures.
* Review and approve major/high-risk subcontract proposals.
* Attend contract acceptance and review meetings to address commercial issues.
* Interpret tenders and apply contractual agreements per the Security of Payments Act.
* Manage commercial issues, including disputes, claims, risk, and forecasting.
* Lead scope change identification and negotiations with the client.
* Conduct post-contract reviews and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and coach a high-performing team.
About you:
Candidates should demonstrate experience in a similar role, preferably within construction or engineering, and possess:
* A Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Quantity Surveying, Business, or related fields.
* Experience with contracting strategies and compensation models for large-scale projects.
* Strong problem-solving, negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills, with a passion for mentoring.
