Role:
Events Manager — responsible for the overall event management and end-to-end delivery of events. The role works with cross-functional teams to ensure every event is delivered on time, on brand, and to the highest standard, driving successful outcomes for internal and external stakeholders (Mulpha, partners, contractors, exhibitors, and visitors).
Responsibilities
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans with a 12–24 month critical time path to ensure timely delivery of all event milestones.
Develop and implement sales and exhibition strategies with the Sales Manager, Head of Events and General Manager to drive profitability by reducing costs and increasing turnover, productivity, and efficiency.
Sales and account management for all key accounts (i.e. top 15–20).
Manage event budgets including financial reporting and accurate ongoing forecasting, coordinating projections with sales, operations and marketing leads.
Collaborate with operations and sales teams to finalise floor plans for event and exhibition layout and design.
Work with the operations team to plan event logistics and layouts, ensuring safe, timely, and effective delivery with a focus on risk mitigation and maximising stakeholder experiences.
Maximise the exhibitor experience by fostering a high level of customer service and effective use of systems and processes.
Work with the Sales Manager and General Manager to scope exhibitors for potential sponsor and partner opportunities.
Develop and maintain relevant industry, agent, and media networks.
Ensure all exhibitor insurance and WHS requirements are adhered to.
Provide high-level customer service and coordination, and be actively present onsite during event periods, including bump in and bump out.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Extensive experience (minimum 3–5 years) across major events and sales processes.
Proven track record in a similar role.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
Ability to work logically and efficiently to achieve goals and produce high-level outcomes.
Demonstrated communication skills including well-developed writing skills.
Strong attention to detail to avoid administrative errors and ensure accurate reporting.
Excellent sales, negotiations, and commercial skills.
High level of analytical and conceptual thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Event Management (or equivalent) is desirable.
