Warrah provides a range of services for adults and children with disability. Our main campus is located in Dural, with additional group homes across Sydney's North West. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to support the maintenance and presentation of our grounds and gardens.
This role suits an energetic, hands‐on person who enjoys outdoor work, general maintenance, and supporting a meaningful community environment. A plumbing trade qualification will be highly regarded and considered an advantage.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Assist with general maintenance work such as painting and repairs.
* Implement planned landscaping projects.
* Ensure that the high standards of the Warrah gardens and grounds are maintained at Harris Road, Dural and in community houses.
* Participate in hands‐on work as directed.
* Operate garden machinery such as blowers and mowers.
* Maintain grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding, pruning, and general gardening.
* Ensure safe manual handling procedures are adhered to.
* Follow all emergency procedures and comply with Warrah Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) policy, guidelines and procedures.
* Notify the Maintenance Manager of any emergency or critical incidents.

* Relevant experience in a range of maintenance duties.
* Understanding /knowledge of Work Health & Safety requirements in the context of the role.
* Experience operating machinery, gardening equipment and power tools.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Use of own vehicle when needed.
* Current NDIS Worker Check (NDISWC) and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
* NSW Driver's Licence.
