We are currently seeking a Service Centre Technician (Power tools) to support the operational needs of a large tool manufacturer. The Factory Service Centre (FSC) Technician role is primarily responsible for providing a branch-based point of contact between our client and their business partners/end users for the purpose of selling, supplying, and servicing the company's product range.
The successful candidate must have prior experience in a similar fast paced environment and a working knowledge of product servicing and customer support. You will need to effectively apply these skills and demonstrate a firm understanding of process and procedure with warranty and damage claims.
Primary Roles and Responsibility
* Tool repairs and support/training
* Jon entry for repairs
* Dispatch of completed repairs
* Warranty repairs
* Customer Service
* WHS knowledge and zero harm approach to work
To be successful you will need to demonstrate:
* Receiving and processing warranties and technical enquiries and supplying prompt, correct and relevant technical information in response.
* Ensuring the safety tagging of customer repaired, demo tools, loan tools and other as directed.
* Delivering technical and practical training to staff, our customers and end users.
* Daily collection of tools from warehouse for repair.
* Daily entry of all jobs from that day into the system for the service team to complete.
* Picking/ collection of spares from main warehouse as required.
* Ensure the immediate dispatch of all completed repair jobs to maximise customer satisfaction.
* Packaging of larger items as required to prevent transit damage.
* To be regarded by all customers, both internal and external, at every level, as a provider of outstanding customer service.
* Abide by all Company Policies & Procedures including Code of Conduct Policies.
* Enhancing customer satisfaction through all facets of service delivery in liaison with relevant branch and company staff.
* Co-operate by willingly participating and supporting team decisions, being a good team player.
* Promote a friendly climate, good morale, and co-operation, promoting a good reputation with both internal and external customers
* WHS responsibilities can include maintaining a safe system of work in the workplace including correct lifting methods.
* Complying fully with the Occupational Health & Safety Policy Statement.
* Obeying all relevant safety, health, and environment legislation
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience repairing power tools or similar product.
* Previous experience in the product repair industry.
* Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* Intermediate MS Office skills
