Job Description:
The HSE Coordinator supports workplace health, safety and environmental compliance across projects, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and stakeholder expectations. The role provides day to day operational support, manages workers compensation and rehabilitation processes, monitors site safety performance, investigates incidents and contributes to the ongoing improvement of the HSE management system, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain safety management systems.
* Ensure legal compliance and execute safety reporting.
* Conduct inspections, meetings, and task observations.
* Support site teams, workers' compensation, and rehabilitation.
* Communicate with employees and maintain documentation.
* Stay updated on legislation and ensure data accuracy.
* Conduct site visits, audits, and incident management.
* Coordinate HSE training, inductions, and software usage.
* Seek continuous improvement and industry updates.
Qualifications:
* Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Construction industry
* Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Proven ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs.
* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Certified Safety Professional or other relevant certifications preferred.
