Deep Blue Sharking Pty Ltd is an established longline fishing company based in regional Victoria, operating throughout Australian waters. We are seeking experienced, committed, and hardworking individuals to join our team across multiple operational roles at sea and onshore. Meals and accommodation are provided while at sea. We are currently seeking a qualified/experienced and reliable Ship's Engineers to join its commercial fishing operations. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Operating and maintaining propulsion and onboard machinery Managing generators, pumps, hydraulics, and electrical systems Conducting inspections of mechanical, fire prevention, and control systems Logging fuel usage and engine performance Ensuring all systems comply with maritime engineering standards Ensure regular oil changes, filter replacements, and cleaning of systems to prevent breakdowns Train crew on machinery operations, safety procedures, and emergency response. Adjust machinery settings and respond to alarms or malfunctions. Experience Required: AQF Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience Must hold appropriate maritime engineering registration/licence General Requirements for the role: Relevant work experience (as specified) STCW safety certification and valid First Aid (within 12 months) English proficiency – IELTS overall 4.5 or equivalent Physically fit to work in offshore and demanding environments Willing to undergo drug and alcohol screening Visa sponsorship available under Fishing Industry Labour Agreement Permanent full time role with an annualized salary between $92K-$100K plus super If you believe you would be a good fit for our team, please send your resume and contact details to the details attached.
