We're looking for experienced and customer service driven Field Service Fitters to join our Mt Isa team to support our one of our key customers at Cannington Mine. These are 12 Month Fixed Term opportunities working an alternating 7/7-day shift roster. These FIFO roles will fly directly into Cannington from either Townsville or Brisbane.
What you'll be doing:
As a Field Service Fitter at Hastings Deering, you will:
* Get out on site - travel to site to provide hands-on support and assist customers with machine maintenance, breakdowns, diagnostics and warranty repairs.
* Take on the big jobs - carry out scheduled engine rebuilds, repairs, and general servicing.
* Keep the wheels turning - minimise production downtime by getting equipment back up and running quickly and safely.
* Deliver real value - provide quality service that helps customers boost the performance and reliability of their CAT gear.
* Work safe, work smart - always follow and promote the highest standards of safety on the job.

What you'll need:
A successful teammate will have experience in:
* Trade Qualification - Certificate III in Engineering (Diesel Fitter preferred). Other suitable trades include Automotive Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, or Mechanical trades.
* Industry Experience - Demonstrated experience with industrial engines; marine sector experience is highly regarded.
* Technical Skills - Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
* Safety Commitment - Dedicated adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
* Work Ethic - High level of initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently.
* Customer Focus - Commitment to continuous improvement with a strong customer service approach.
* Communication & Organisation - Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills.
* Eligibility - Australian or New Zealand Citizens, or Australian Permanent Residents only (not open to temporary visa holders).
